Aged at least 18 years old
At least 5´2" tall
3 GCSE level passes (or equivalent)
Fluent in English
Right to live and work in the UK indefinitely without restriction
In good health

Minimum Requirements
Technical Manuals Engineer
Either Technical Authorship qualification or Engineering Diploma qualification (or equivalent)
Experience in the creation/maintenance of engineering technical documentation within the aviation industry
Detailed knowledge of OEM on-line systems/databases
Working knowledge of the commercial aviation industry, aircraft overhaul and maintenance
Detailed knowledge of general principles of use of the technical manuals/documents used within VAA
Engineering
Working knowledge of applications of content management systems and other IT packages associated with the role
Ability to represent VAA at Technical Symposiums and working groups
Detailed knowledge of iSpec 2200 and ATA 100 Behaviours
Working knowledge of ADOC Manager would be desirable
Background to include formal aviation apprenticeship/training would be desirable
Knowledge of SGML would be beneficial
Knowledge and experience of using and working with aircraft maintenance data, i.e. AMM, IPC, WDM.
Experience of using ISO Draw illustration package would be beneficialBase: Crawley, West Sussex
